Hallett CMRA

Drove to Hallett in Jennings, Oklahoma. I ran Friday practice but decided to not stick around for the Sunday race due to weather reports calling for rain and high winds. I really like the track. We ran it counter clockwise and it had some great challenges. Saturday afternoon we visited Bob and Nicki in Tulsa and saw their new baby Ashlyn. We will be home in Austin by 11:00 tonight.

Chingon Racing stayed to run the afternoon 5-hour endurance. That is a long race for such a tight, technical track. Go Chingon!

European Vacation

From May 28 through June 11 Jennifer and I will be traveling through Europe on a motorcycle with my friend Chuck Hull and his wife Maria.  The four of us will be part of group of a total of eleven people on a tour called the Edelweiss Bike Travel - Ultimate Alps Tour.  I will post a travelogue and pictures here on this blog for my friends and family to follow.  Please subscribe to this blog and you will receive updates as we upload photos and notes of our trip.

My friend Mark acquired this in 1972 when he was only 18. He is trying to decide if he should restore it.

Kevin has CMRA # 529

I have joined CMRA and chosen number 529.  The last step to getting the Tuono as a race bike is to put the numbers on the bike.  I will post some pictures as soon as I get this step finished.  I plan to race at Hallett, OK next month - May 19/20.
